Alexandra Jocelyn Chadwick is a character on the ONtv series, Harpers Falls: New Beginnings. She is played by actress Jennifer Gareis, best known for her role of Donna Logan on the Bold and the Beautiful.
Born into one of New England's oldest families, on the same level as the Harpers, Alexandra Chadwick was a pampered princess. She never wanted for anything, and often got more than what she had hoped for. In 1989, she married Brad Atchison, thereby bringing two powerful families, the Atchisons and the Chadwicks together.
As the years went by, Alexandra bonded with Brad's nastier sister, Libby Atchison. These two ran roughshod over the family. Alexandra cheated on Brad mercilessly, and with Libby, reduced Brad's father, Ralph, to an acquiescent lump. Linda Atchison, Brad's protective sister, didn't trust Alexandra and Libby's schemes. She teamed up with her new best friend, Sheila Harper Watkins, and blew the whistle on Alexandra's secret life as a prostitute working on Commonwealth Avenue. At first, Alexandra was FURIOUS, and she and Libby did everything possible to wreak havoc, but once Libby ordered the death of Alex Corwin, she realized that Libby was far gone.
She spilled the beans about what Libby had done, and then, Libby retaliated by having one of her criminal friends, who was a mechanic, to put a couple of untraceable cuts in her brake lines. Alexandra accidentally crashed into Dylan Harper, breaking his leg, which he is still recovering from. Alexandra was devastated at what she had done.
Time went and Alexandra was able to stand on her own two feet. She was on her way to a meeting, and she met Andrew Barrington, a man who was headed to a hotel in the back bay. An elevator malfunction trapped the two inside. Made all the more worse when Julianne Bennett-Hamilton stepped down the shaft, and fell to the concrete, and then was crushed by the elevator. Alexandra is still reeling from that.
When she was discovered in bed with Andrew by Astrid McIntyre; the mother of Andrew's baby, she was ashamed of what had happened. Andrew tried to pooh-pooh it away, but Alexandra revealed what had happened, and realizing what she had done, and how he had lied to them both, broke it off with him, and became friends with Astrid. She and Astrid share an apartment together, and she has a hand in helping raise Mikey, Astrid's son by Andrew.
After a lot of bad choices, Alexandra Chadwick can say she is now at peace with things.
